My travel bucket list is ever growing; there’s so much of the world I want to see. Over the past two years I’ve gained a lot of stamps in my passport (much like that girl Drake refers to in ‘Hotline Bling’) and I want to keep the momentum going in 2018. At this present moment I already have a couple trips pencilled in my diary, but quite frankly a couple of trips will not hold my wanderlust at bay. Therefore I thought it would be a good idea to set myself some goals for the year ahead, a little plan to stick to to make sure I see this big wide world.
1. Explore more places in the UK
I hold up my hands and admit that when it comes to British geography, my knowledge is very poor *speak to my disgruntled boyfriend about my perception of the Midlands if you don’t believe me*. The reason for this being that I’ve never really been to anywhere in the UK other than southern England. I think the British Isles often get forgotten when a lot of us book our holidays, as we are looking to visit somewhere we deem to be exotic i.e. where it doesn’t piss down with rain 7 days a week. An adventure to other parts of the UK is long overdue, and I hope that by the end of this year I’ve learnt how to appreciate the destinations that don’t require a passport.
2. Finally go to America
America has been on the list for a long time now and I have no idea why I haven’t made more effort to go stateside in the past few years. At some point this year I would love to visit either New York or San Francisco, eat some disgustingly greasy food, drink some ‘cawfee’ and generally have a fab time in the USA. It seems appealing to visit somewhere new where they speak the same language, and where I can act out scenes from some of my favourite films (I’m thinking more along the lines of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ than ‘Gangs of New York’).
3. Visit a new continent
Ok so I am very aware that America would be a new continent, but I also want to extend that because I’m extra, and really what is the point of having goals if you don’t aim super high? If my budget would allow it then I could certainly see myself enjoying a long weekend in Morocco (floppy hat and Factor 50 at the ready).
4. Visit another foreign festival
After the success of FIB in Benicassim last year (I should really do a post on it at some point as it was the best holiday EVER), I would definitely like to go to other European festivals. Various weekend festivals run throughout the summer all over Europe, I think it would be foolish not to utilise them when they are a guaranteed good time.
So those are my travel goals for the next 12 months. Here’s to finding new corners of the world to fall in love with.
Great goals! I would also suggest Chicago at some point in your US travels… I used to live in that area and just love it!
I would love to visit England and Ireland… I also want to visit somewhere where they speak English but I think it would be the one to have a cool (??) accent! haha 🙂

Great Travel Goals! I think if you go to California, San Diego would be a great city to visit as well.
